Joe wit VectraStuart's Escort Revisited

Stuart Priest commissioned the modifications to this escort back in 2004 and enjoyed the benefits of the work until mid-2006 (including a 6-page spread in Fast Ford magazine - see our press section) when he sold the car to make way for his next project. At the time the car was still only partially finished, the engine was only just properly run-in and just about due for the final stage of the work.

The car soon made its way back to us for the final upgrade - some high lift cams and a remap. Whatever had tempted Stuart away from the car in the first place obviously wasn't a big enough distraction because early in 2007 Stuart bought the car back and is once again reaping the reward of the now completed modifications.

With the subtle body mods and the slightly outrageous engine mods the car is a fine example of how good a Ford Escort can be regardless of anyone's opinion.

Stuart has never skimped on any aspect of the car - from concept to inception it has always been about doing the job right and it isn't just us that had to pay attention to detail, rumour has it Stuart even polishes the exhaust from manifold to tail tip as part of his weekly cleaning schedule for his beloved car.
